Booking Policy

Effective Date: 2nd Feb 2026

Reservation Deposit

To secure your booking, a non-refundable reservation deposit of AUD $10 per guest is required at the time of booking.

A payment processing fee (charged by our payment provider Stripe) will also apply to each transaction. This fee is separate from the reservation deposit.

The AUD $10 deposit per guest will be credited towards your final bill when dining at Social Butterfly Tea & Dessert.

The payment processing fee is not credited towards the final bill and is non-refundable.

Reservation Confirmation

All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once a confirmation has been issued.

We reserve the right to contact guests to verify booking details where necessary.

Arrival Time

Please arrive on time for your reservation.

Tables are held for up to 15 minutes after the booking time. Late arrivals may result in cancellation of the reservation.

Rescheduling

Guests may request to reschedule once per booking, subject to availability.

Reschedule requests must be made at least 24 hours prior to the booking time.

Where approved, the deposit will be transferred to the new booking date.

Cancellations & No-Shows

Reservation deposits are non-refundable where a guest cancels, fails to attend, or does not proceed with the booking.

If you do not attend your reservation, the deposit and processing fee will be forfeited.

Final Bill

The $10 per guest deposit will be deducted from your final bill at the time of payment in-store.

Example: 2 guests = $20 deposit credited to final bill.

Dietary Requirements

Please inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements when booking. While care is taken, we cannot guarantee allergen-free meals.

Venue Rights

We reserve the right to refuse service or end a booking where behaviour is unsafe, abusive, or disruptive.

Changes by Venue

In rare circumstances, we may need to reschedule or cancel bookings. Where this occurs, we will offer a new booking or remedy in line with Australian Consumer Law.
